Jesus Christ told all Christians to go into all the World and preach the Gospel. (Mark 16:15-16 & Matthew 28:18-20) But in order to complete this task, we must continue to equip the saints to do the work here and abroad. (Ephesians 4:11-16) Therefore, we have programs to reach inward to equip our workers at GSCOC so they may go out into our community, our state, our country, and unto all the World preaching the Gospel, baptizing them in the name of the father, son and Holy Ghost. It is by that obedient burial into Christ death that we can rise and walk in newness of life (Romans 6:3-4). Some of these internal and external outreach programs include congregational singings at a local nursing home, Tuesday morning Bible studies, and Vacation Bible School. This list will continue to grow as we continue to grow as a congregation.
3Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? 4Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.…
11 And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds[c] and teachers,[d]12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood,[e] to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, 14 so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. 15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.
15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.
18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 [a]Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you [b]always, even to the end of the age.”
